Capilano University is a public university that is fully accredited by both the Government of British Columbia (Canada), Universities Canada (UC) and the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (USA). With three stunning locations nestled among the mountains and ocean in North Vancouver, and on the Sunshine Coast, CapU enrolls approximately 12,700 students each year including over 2800 international students from over 86 countries. The University is named after Chief Joe Capilano, an important leader of the Squamish Nation of the Coast Salish people.

Classes at CapU have 25 students on average, so our instructors can give individualized support and attention to every student in a class. CapU Residence offers a safe and convenient student housing option, and a chance to connect and create lasting friendships and take part in the full University experience.

CapU has traditional university programs, including arts and sciences with concentrations such as Psychology, English and Physics and also unique fields of study like Outdoor Recreation Management, Jazz Studies, Tourism Management for International Students and Motion Picture Arts, plus many more. Pathways
Through an articulation agreement with MSM Higher Ed, Capilano University is now part of its global consortium as an MSM Higher Ed Pathways Founding Member. MSM Higher Ed Pathways is designed to prepare students for entry or advanced standing at multiple universities in study destinations for international education.
Students who have started their programs through MSM Higher Ed Pathways delivery centres (Foundation Schools) close to their homes may choose to proceed to complete their degree at Capilano University in the United States.

Unified by an interest in increasing and diversifying international student enrollment for the long-term, Founding Members articulate the existing Pathway curriculum and will provide advice on the design and development of future Pathway curriculum, which will be delivered at MSM Higher Ed Schools or Study Centres in over 50 countries across the globe in the coming three years.
